We see a lot of posters pass through our hands and this masterpiece is one we are excited to offer! This silver metallic poster for a Blue Cheer Concert at The Earl Warren Fairgrounds in Santa Barbara California is one of the finest posters from this series. In support of the hard rock pioneers were The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band who would release one of the most influential Bluegrass albums of all time with their 1972 “Will The Circle Be Unbroken”.
Also on the bill was The Nazz which was Alice Cooper's first band. Because of the confusion with Todd Rundgren's group of the same name they changed their name on this date (after the posters were printed) and played their first show as "Alice Cooper". In June 2018 a mint graded "95" example realized $1735 in our auction. The only difference keeping this example from the same condition grade is light handling.
