We are extremely pleased to offer an UNCUT PROOF poster of this popular issue in our auction! This beautiful Original Poster promoted a Tuesday night memorial concert for the notable concert poster artist Bob Fried who died a few months earlier to benefit his family. Although the show was billed as Jerry Garcia and Friends this show brought the Dead back out onto the stage after a three month hiatus. This was also the live debut of such seminal Grateful Dead classics as “Crazy Finger” and “Help On The Way>Slipknot>Franklin’s Tower”.

Bob Fried was one of the most highly regarded poster artists of the era. Fried was a trained commercial artist who taught at the San Francisco Art Institute. Like the work of his friend Victor Moscoso Fried’s formal training gave his work remarkable precision and restraint creating designs that explored geometry and color in a strikingly unique style.
