David Grisman is one of the most beloved mandolin players on the planet. His long time friendship with Jerry Garcia and his work with bluegrass legends like Vassar Clements and Peter Rowan are just the tip of the iceberg. This beautiful original poster for a show in 1979 was designed by artist Bill Narum. Narum was in Austin during the early 1970’s and joined with fellow Sheauxnough Studio artists in creating work for the underground press and various music venues including the famous Armadillo World Headquarters. Interest in Armadillo posters is currently at an all time high and we've only auctioned another example of this Grisman issue once before over the past 13 years!
