Little Richard's sad passing made national headlines last year and the music world lost a legendary performer. This lot represents the FIRST example of this Little Richard Original Handbill we have ever offered in our auction! This was produced for his appearance at the Concord Coliseum in Concord California on September 9th 1967. Dearly Loved were in support.
The handbill also advertises The Epics appearing the night before. The Epics were a Walnut Creek band featuring Bobby Winkelmann who later played in the band Frumious Bandersnatch. The late great Little Richard had already blossomed into an exciting career by the mid 1960's. Little Richard's dynamic "Long Tall Sally" as well as "Jenny Jenny" Lucille" and "Good Golly Miss Molly" (as noted on the handbill) were setting fire to those in attendance of his 1960's concerts.
