This poster is from the legendary Ultrasounds Collection the most extensive and finest quality collection of concert posters from this era. This lot is amongst the very FIRST posters from the Ultrasounds Collection to be CGC authenticated and graded. As such it’s unique and historically important provenance has been specially designated on the CGC label.
A portion of the proceeds of this lot will be donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina. Together we CAN end hunger. Based in North Carolina since 1981 the non-profit Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina annually distributes over 70 million pounds of food and household items throughout their 24 county service region. Here is a rare pacific northwest poster featuring indie rockers Black Rebel Motorcycle Club at the Roseland Theater in Portland Oregon and the Showbox in Seattle Washington in April 2004. Starlight Desperation and the Rapture were in support. This is the first time we’ve offered this Original Poster in our auction. It was produced by renowned modern poster artist Mike King and unlike many of the most popular and sought after concert posters from the 1960’s and 1970’s there were no official Reprints of these posters that are still readily available in big quantities today. This means collectors are forced to chase down the few surviving Original First Printings.
