This lot is amongst the very FIRST posters from the Ultrasounds Collection to be CGC authenticated and graded. As such it’s unique and historically important provenance has been specially designated on the CGC label.
A portion of the proceeds of this lot will be donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina. Together we CAN end hunger. Here is a rare pacific northwest poster featuring the great Southern Culture on the Skids at La Luna in Portland on October 25th 1998. The group formed in Chapel Hill North Carolina over a decade earlier showcasing their own unique blend of surf rockabilly R&B and country-fried garage with a side of psychedelia. Check out their album "Plastic Seat Sweat" when you get a chance - good stuff. This is the first time we’ve offered this Original Poster in our auction. It was produced by renowned modern poster artist Mike King for hanging on telephone poles record store windows ticket agencies and coffee houses around town.
