Only the third CGC graded example of this fabulous original first printing poster we have ever auctioned! Everything changed for Janis Joplin in 1966 when she joined Big Brother and the Holding Company. That band because of her addition went on to become a major force in the emerging San Francisco psychedelic rock scene. In 1967 she quickly gained national attention after her performance at the Monterey Pop Festival.

This Victor Moscoso designed poster is third in the bright colorful Neon Rose series and it's one of the most treasured Big Brother concert posters of all time! In March 2018 a lower 7.0 graded example reached $529 in our auction. In any other collectibles market this poster would be worth many multiples of the previously sold example. It will be interesting to see what premium the market attaches to this superior super clean 9.0 example now!
