This early original handbill exhibits a classic San Francisco lineup with The Grateful Dead Mimi Farina and Quicksilver Messenger Service. The 1966 Halloween concert was called “The Dance of Death Costume Ball” and held at the famous California Hall. It was planned at the last minute because the Dead were originally scheduled to perform at Alliope Warehouse for the Acid Test Graduation but instead they cancelled and played at Cal Hall.
This handbill seldom surfaces in any condition because material for this small last minute event was printed quickly and in VERY LOW quantities. Rare unusual unique historic! If you are a collector always looking for that Grateful Dead diamond in the rough this lot is for you! 100% Original with no restoration!
