The NR-2 by Victor Moscoso is one of the more "in-demand" Neon Rose posters of all. According to poster historian Eric King there were three original pre-concert first printings of this poster (OP-1 OP-2 and OP-3). This example here is the First Official Reprint of this issue. The "RP-4" numbering code is slightly mis-leading as this is technically the FIRST reprint and NOT the FOURTH reprint as the code would suggest. The example you see here may have been a one of a kind trial where it was not printed with the orange run for the lettering skin of the figure and the border - or it was missing when the orange run was printed but was printed in the next run of magenta --- perhaps put aside and forgotten. When speaking of the NR-2 issue Victor Moscoso states: “My first psychedelic pin up and the first to carry the “Neon Rose” name. One of my more popular posters then and now."
