This beautiful Original Poster exhibits imagery designed by artist Steve Renick for the Oldies Record Hop event at the Great Highway in August 1969. Approximately seven months after The Family Dog were forced out of the Avalon Ballroom Chet Helms opened up shop on the Great Highway. The site was at the former Edgewater Ballroom part of the Playland at the Beach complex. Due to budget constraints relatively few posters were produced for the 660 Great Highway and they were printed in small quantities. This example is the FIRST CGC Graded specimen of this issue to appear in our auction!
