The Day on the Green was a reoccurring event hosted by Bill Graham at The Oakland Coliseum Stadium and featured many high profile acts over the Years. The October 1976 show had to be one of the best ever with the Grateful Dead opening for the Who! This Original First Printing poster was designed by Phillip Garris; he also created the legendary art for the Grateful Dead Album "Blues for Allah". Due to its large size in the past we've usually seen examples either restored or mounted on foamcore. The lot you see here represents only the third CGC Graded example to appear in any public auction. This example here is 100% Original with no restoration whatsoever!
