This extremely rare original poster features founding Velvet Underground member John Cale at CBGB in New York for a run of New Years shows in late December 1978. The legendary venue’s full name of CBGB & OMFUG stands for "Country Bluegrass Blues and Other Music for Uplifting Gormandizers". The theme along with poetry readings yielded to the movement into punk rock. The Ramones played their first shows at CBGB. Original Posters from this era of this legendary venue seldom surface and are highly collectible.
