An incredible example of the original first printing BG-27 poster! The Mothers of Invention were a groundbreaking musical force in the 1960's. Frank Zappa the founder of the Mothers was a true musical innovator and a larger than life public figure. Zappa is one of those artists with worldwide appeal and this poster is one of our most requested pieces. This Original First Printing was designed by John Myers.
Early Fillmore posters are amongst the most desirable ever produced and always enjoy top demand with collectors. Since the inception of PAE 13 years ago we have consistently advised collectors to focus on the first 30 issues of the Bill Graham series. History has proved our advise was correct then and we are sticking with it now.
These early issues from the first year of the Fillmore Auditorium enjoy tremendous collector demand for the tiny and dwindling supply. We believe they represent amazing values at current price levels. Last year a lower 8.0 graded example reached $450 in our auction. This clearly superior MUSEUM piece is sure to skyrocket with interested bidders from across the land!
