This is the FIRST CGC Graded example of this seldom seen Great Highway handbill to appear in our auction! The image exhibits the classic Family Dog logo with pride! Approximately seven months after The Family Dog were forced out of the Avalon Ballroom Chet Helms opened up shop on the Great Highway. The site was at the former Edgewater Ballroom part of the Playland at the Beach complex.
Due to budget constraints relatively few posters were produced for the shows at 660 Great Highway. Mostly handbills were used to promote those concerts and they were printed in small quantities. Here It's a Beautiful Day Osceola Sawbuck are featured for this 3 day run of shows in August 1970. This is a San Andreas Fault (Tad Hunter) designed original handbill with amazing eye appeal that does not surface very often and here is your chance to grab it in Superb Museum Quality Condition with no nicks cuts tears or pinholes!
