This is the elusive and difficult to find BG-44 OP-1 Original First Printing VERSION C - which is a far more scarce version of this issue than the other first printing versions! The "C" was printed on dull stock and the paper does not show horizontal rows on the reverse. When held under blacklight the reverse of the poster glows brightly. The other 2 versions of the BG-44 OP-1 do not fluoresce on the back!
Created by the late great Wes Wilson here is a first printing poster which seldom turns up in our auctions in this museum quality state of preservation. Wilson's use of the female form is a central theme in many of his images. This 1967 original Bill Graham poster announced the FIRST appearance of The Doors at the Fillmore!
