The original BG-11 poster being offered here is only the 5th certified example of the First Pre-Concert Printing we've ever auctioned! This Fillmore Auditorium poster is an excellent example of Wes Wilson’s early work as a poster artist. Throughout the first 30 Fillmore posters you can track the development of the artists’ style. His experimentation with color combinations and lettering styles evolved dramatically during this period. By the time Wilson finished his tenure for Graham his style had matured and had set the bar high for all who followed. These early issues from the first year of the Fillmore Auditorium enjoy tremendous collector demand for the tiny and dwindling supply of surviving examples.
