This poster is signed in pencil by the artist Victor Moscoso and in black ink by Big Brother & the Holding Company band members Dave Getz Sam Andrew & Peter Albin!
One of only a few CGC graded examples of this fabulous original printing poster we have ever offered! This being the FIRST BAND & ARTIST SIGNED! Everything changed for Janis Joplin in 1966 when she joined Big Brother and the Holding Company. That band because of her addition went on to become a major force in the emerging San Francisco psychedelic rock scene. In 1967 she quickly gained national attention after her performance at the Monterey Pop Festival.
This Victor Moscoso designed poster is third in the bright colorful Neon Rose series and it's one of the most treasured Big Brother concert posters of all time! In March 2018 another 7.0 graded example reached $529 in our auction but it wasn't SIGNED like this one! There are two original pre-concert printings of the NR-3 poster. The OP-1 is on glossy paper stock and the OP-2 like this one here is on uncoated stock.
