PAE is pleased to present the FINEST QUALITY CGC graded specimen of this original poster to EVER appear at public auction! The Jamaica World Music Festival was a very special event for the Grateful Dead and Deadheads in 1982. Many fans made the trip to Montego Bay for this one! In dramatic fashion The Dead played "Fire on the Mountain" at sunrise. The Beach Boys Rick James The B-52’s The Clash Peter Tosh Aretha Franklin and many more also performed this 3 day festival.
This is only the 4th example of this poster we've auctioned with CGC grading. Earlier this year a lower 6.0 graded example reached $270 in our auction. In any other collectibles market this poster would be worth many multiples of the previously sold example. It will be interesting to see what premium the market attaches to this superior 9.8 example now. Superb Museum Quality Condition with no nicks cuts tears or pinholes!
