The influence of the Texas Psychedelic Band 13th Floor Elevators on the San Francisco sound is well documented in the history books. As it turned out the 13th Floor Elevators cancelled with Country Joe & The Fish taking their place on saturday and Quicksilver Messenger Service at the friday concert. The captivating Herb Greene photo of a doe–eyed Grace Slick (then a member of Great Society) is the centerpiece of this handbill - the fabulous lettering of artist Wes Wilson surrounds her. This handbill is scarce in ANY condition and this example is 100% original with no restoration!
