This is an original poster produced in 1993 featuring the English punk band Buzzcocks at the legendary La Luna in Portland! These posters were produced in tiny quantities for small venues on very short notice and put up on telephone poles and walls in a hurry. Ask anyone that was walking the streets of Portland at the time and they’ll tell you it was commonplace to see these posters stapled one on top of another totaling 3-5 inches thick. The daily rain and humidity of the region took care of the rest resulting in very low percentages having survived in even decent condition.
Material from the pacific northwest is always considered special by collectors. They often tell a story all their own and have a different vibe than pieces from other parts of the country. It’s hard to believe this poster is over 25 years old. “Telephone pole flyers” like this are highly collectible and are notably representative of the music loving culture that produced them. This is the first time we’ve offered this Original Poster in our auction! Now is the time to snap up these relics before they disappear!
