From time to time we have an opportunity to offer truly unique works of art to our clientele. In this sale we are thrilled to be able offer this incredible silkscreened and hand painted canvas from the studio of Michael Rios and Anthony Machado. This canvas is LARGE in terms of stature and beauty. It was created by and SIGNED (lower right) by the late Anthony Machado. Macahdo was a well known Bay Area mural artist who passed away in 2018.
Although the piece is not signed by Michael Rios the Bay area artist who is best known for his Santana album cover art we understand that he collaborated with Machado to create this amazing canvas.
This stunning tribute to Carlos Santana is big and brilliant. It depicts the guitarist surrounded by colorful imagery with an appearance by Mile Davis. The colors are bright and beautiful. Due to the size this piece needs to be viewed in person to be truly appreciated.
According to our sources this artwork was created for a screen printing competition in the '90s. The canvas was screened and then painted in select areas. It is certainly a one of a kind creation.
The canvas is huge and would be an incredible addition to home that has the wall space; it would be ideal for a public space as well.
