This extremely rare cardboard original poster was produced to promote the release of the Power Windows album by the legendary Power Trio RUSH in late 1985. You won't find many of these lying around - this is the first we've ever seen out of 13 years of auctioning thousands of posters. The Power Windows album was BIG - meaning big sound big lyrics big subject matter. The music is big and full sounding with produced Peter Collins taking everything to the top. Big keyboards. Big drums. Big guitar.
The big songs themselves are about power - within different forms of power. The first track on the record is "The BIG Money" perhaps the most evil form of power of all. "Territories" comments on nationalism around the world. "Manhattan Project" "Mystic Rhythms" and "Marathon" all continue focusing on describing various manifestations of power. We at PAE are big Rush fans and the sad recent passing of the great Neil Peart earlier this year was a hard blow. We hope you can appreciate the soul & spirit of a rare and historic collectible such as this lot the same way we do. Gonna go listen to Rush now.
