The Soft Machine is featured on this original poster promoting their appearance at the legendary Rainbow Theatre on March 12th 1971. The Rainbow Theatre in London has a rich history of incredible concerts from Hendrix to Pink Floyd to Van Morrison to Zappa. Jimi Hendrix first burned a guitar onstage at the Rainbow in 1967 with the collusion of his manager Chas Chandler and a journalist from NME. The Beach Boys popular album "Live In London" was recorded there in 1968. LEGENDARY VENUE - very rare poster exhibiting Canterbury's most under-rated psychedelic jazz band of the era!
