In 1978 several venues in Germany hosted the great Ray Charles and The Raelettes for a run of shows during his October tour. Ray Charles’ legacy is celebrated across the globe as one of the most important musicians of our time. His version of "Georgia on My Mind" was proclaimed the state song of Georgia and an emotional Charles performed the song on the floor of the state legislature 2 years after these concerts.
