The Plasmatics were a punk rock/metal band formed in New York City by Rod Swenson and Wendy O. Williams in late 1977. They were known for over-the-top stage performances which included sledge-hammering television sets and blowing up automobiles on stage. Lead singer/songwriter Wendy O. Williams committed suicide in 1998 and their concert material has become highly collectible ever since. This early original handbill mailer is from a 1979 show at Club 57 in New York when the band were in their prime. The piece is postmarked and addressed on the reverse side. A rare find!
