It’s a true pleasure to offer this original vintage Grateful Dead poster in our auction. The end of 1978 was a spectacular era for the Dead. This Saturday evening just 24 hours before the historic closing of Winterland on New Years Eve the group tore the roof off of L.A.’s Pauley Pavilion located on the campus of UCLA.
The event was presented by Bill Graham himself and the Fine Arts department at University of California. Obviously the great adventure many deadheads cheerfully embarked on was the trip from LA to San Fran for the New Years Eve show the following night. This poster is 100% Original with no restoration and is certainly a piece no Grateful Dead collector should be without. A historic stepping stone leading to the mighty blue rose!
