This poster has just emerged from a recently unearthed and long held collection of Texas posters. This beautiful Roy Buchanan issue from 1974 was created by the late great Austin poster artist Ken Featherston. Ken was a major figure in the history of Armadillo World Headquarters and met his tragic end by mistakenly being shot to death at the venue at the age of 23 in 1975.
We previously sold another example of this poster in similar condition for $817 on 12/15/16. Armadillo World Headquarters posters are currently enjoying top collector demand. This can be attributed to several reasons including scarcity and its historical significance as ground zero in the Texas psychedelic scene.
