Jerry Garcia was an art student years before he became the guitarist extraordinaire.  From his youth he was known to draw and doodle obsessively. During High School he also attended  art school. He would later leave his pens and brushes behind to obsessively study guitar but two decades later while recovering from a diabetic coma in 1986 he would return to his previous love of visual art. In 1990 Garcia began his second career as a professional artist . He created several airbrush paintings that were reproduced as small run lithographs by a company called the Art Peddler. Later these designs evolved into a whole range of licensed products. In this auction we are offering the very first lithograph that Jerry released.  Wetlands I. The first of anything always demands top dollar. In this case Wetlands I is the most valuable and sought after of any of the Garcia prints. This poster is signed and numbered by the artist.
