This lot is amongst the very FIRST posters from the Ultrasounds Collection to be CGC authenticated and graded. As such it’s unique and historically important provenance has been specially designated on the CGC label.
The net proceeds of this lot will be donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina. Together we CAN end hunger. Here we have an original poster that was produced for a 1998 concert by Frank Black at La Luna in Portland. The frontman for the Pixies (Black Francis) went solo in 1993 and released his debut album on Elektra Records soonafter. When this Portland concert took place he had just finished working on his new project titled "Frank Black and the Catholics". An extremely talented singer & songwriter! This is the first time we’ve offered this Original Poster in our auction and the FIRST to appear with CGC grading! It was produced for hanging on telephone poles record store windows ticket agencies and coffee houses around town. Material from the pacific northwest is always considered special by collectors. They often tell a story all their own and have a different vibe than pieces from other parts of the country.
