Presenting for the first time with CGC grading: This classic illustration for a Jefferson Airplane concert at the Shrine Exposition hall is one of the most recognized images in concert poster art. It is John Van Hamersveld's signature piece and was originally created for a February 1968 run of concerts that featured the Airplane with Blues Harp master Charlie Musselwhite in support. This is a special post-concert RP-3 edition of only 500 produced signed and numbered by the artist!
Van Hamersveld was a founding member of Pinnacle Productions and his work is a lasting remnant from a rare period in time. The Shrine/Pinnacle shows were LA’s major contribution to the sixties live music scene and featured all of the top performers of the day all in big time Hollywood style at the 500+ seat Shrine. This amazing SIGNED & numbered piece is in Superb Museum Quality Condition that is unimprovable in every way!
