This is the FIRST CGC graded example of this Original Handbill to surface in our auction! It's a very early Grateful Dead piece created for the Zen Mountain Center Benefit held at the Avalon in late ‘66. A very young Grateful Dead performed along with Quicksilver Messenger Service and Big Brother as the opening bands however there are no audio recordings or known set lists archived of the concert. The event was called "A Zenefit". Early Grateful Dead material like this one from this era with low print runs and low survival rates seldom turn up in our auction. This lot offers a real opportunity for Dead Avalon collectors to complete their set - if you have the poster you need to also get the handbill!
