This is the FIRST example of this original cardboard poster we’ve ever offered in our auction! It promotes Donovan appearing at the Memorial Auditorium in late October of 1976. This cardboard poster was produced by Colby Printing. The historic Colby Poster Printing Company produced promotional material between 1948 and 2012 and they became legendary for their signature fluorescent inks and bold all-caps typography although none of the original staff had any formal design training. They were members of the letterpress union the screen printers union and the typesetters union. Original cardboard posters are super popular and remain one of the most highly sought after type of concert memorabilia ever known!
