The very FIRST of this issue to appear in our auction! This original handbill was produced for a concert by Steppenwolf at the Kansas City Municipal Auditorium on February 22nd 1969. The Canadian band was one of the more successful bands of the era with huge paydays for the hits “Born to be Wild” and “Magic Carpet Ride”. This piece was designed by artist Timothy Dixon. Dixon also designed artwork on promo material for additional shows during the same year in New Haven Houston  Minneapolis and Providence. This handbill is in Superb Museum Quality Condition! We previously sold a same graded handbill from Minneapolis for $1200 in our auction!
