Here we have an extremely scarce item from days of old. It’s an original membership card from the MOUSE! Monster Club produced by Stanley Mouse & Mouse Studios circa 1962. This is the FIRST example of this vintage item we've ever offered in our auction!
Several years prior Stanley Mouse had become fascinated by the Weirdo Hot Rod art movement that had begun in California. Growing up in Detroit and having developed skills using an airbrush he began traveling with his father across the country touring custom car shows and painting T-shirts. His love for the Hot Rod culture continued to grow as did his portfolio.
The design on this membership card exhibits all of the amazing graphics Mouse evolved into during the early 1960's - still several years before his vast legacy of concert poster art began.
