Here we have the great Frank Black performing at the legendary La Luna in Portland. The frontman for the Pixies (Black Francis) went solo in 1993 and this concert was part of the tour supporting his debut self titled album on Elektra Records. An extremely talented singer & songwriter! The Reverend Horton Heat and Silverfish opened. This is the first time we’ve offered this Original Poster in our auction! It was produced for hanging on telephone poles record store windows ticket agencies and coffee houses around town.
Material from the pacific northwest is always considered special by collectors. They often tell a story all their own and have a different vibe than pieces from other parts of the country. It’s hard to believe this poster is over 25 years old. “Telephone pole flyers” like this are highly collectible and are notably representative of the music loving culture that produced them.
