For the first time in our auction we present this LARGE original poster featuring the great Jazz icon Duke Ellington at the Neue Grughalle in Germany during late 1959. Ellington has been celebrated in the jazz world for his inventive use of his orchestra and for his eloquence & charisma. During this time in the late 1950’s his career was experiencing a rebirth. His reputation has continued to rise even after he died in 1974. He was awarded a posthumous Pulitzer Prize Special Award for music in 1999.
