The Allman Brother Band took on many incarnations in their incredible life span. This original concert poster advertises the band with its 1973 line up just after the release of the Brothers and Sisters album. It was the first time the band went on the road without founding members Duane Allman and Berry Oakley after their tragic - and eerily similar - deaths. This PNE Coliseum poster is in splendid super clean & PINHOLE FREE condition!
Not without its own public controversy the appearance of the Confederate Flag would not be an uncommon occurrence in promotional material related to southern rock (Tom Petty used the flag image during his "Pack Up The Plantation" Live 1985 concert film). The "rebel flag" is currently a highly divisive and polarizing symbol in the United States. A Politico-Morning Consult poll taken in June 2020 shows that 44% view it as a symbol of Southern Pride while 36% say it is a symbol of racism & white supremacy. The ABB (and Petty) were not racists and therefore they used it as a symbol of pride. These days they most likely would have chosen not to use it.
