This original handbill was produced for the Grateful Dead during their fall tour in 1971 at the Albuquerque Civic Auditorium on November 17th. A very cool 100% original Dead handbill from 49 years ago in HIGH QUALITY super clean condition! No tears or pinholes. Some wear at the edges and slight toning are all holding this back from a perfect grade.

The Dead were in transition. Keith was coming into the fold and Pigpen (absent from this show due to complications of liver disease) was fading out. The double live album Skull & Roses (Skull Fuck) had just been released a month prior and The New Riders of the Purple Sage opened. The soundboard recording of this Albuquerque concert was recently officially released on CD as Dave’s Picks #26 and it’s pretty awesome.
