We are VERY pleased to offer what is universally recognized as one of the most sought after...and one of the most difficult to find... Grateful Dead concert posters ever created! This legendary“Acid Drop” imagery was created by Steve Catron for a series of concerts by the Grateful Dead and Chuck Berry at the Carousel Ballroom 50+ years ago in 1968.

Besides its unparalleled art and iconic band this poster features a large size and a tiny issuance. Carousel Ballroom posters featured tiny Original Printings of just 500. Very few of this issue still survive today (our guess is 5-10%) in ANY condition. The poster is also both WIDER and TALLER than typical concert posters from the era making this issue very susceptible to damage.

The specimen offered here and now can serve as an ultimate advertisement for CGC and it's SUPER STRICT grading standards that deliver MAXIMUM VALUE for your collecting dollar!

Make no mistake about it this specimen is super clean and would be considered by many if not most as Near Mint! This poster is PINHOLE FREE with a tiny tear less than 1/4 inch on the right edge and light foxing and toning commensurate with a 50+ year old poster. Evidence of light creasing can be found at bottom right that is only evident while viewing the poster from the back and mentioned here solely for 100% accuracy.

Even if you have no intention whatsoever on bidding on this lot we implore you to look at the super magnified high res photos so you can see for yourself how strict CGC graded this poster.

If you are looking to acquire one of the most spectacular concert posters from the 1960's in super clean 100% Original condition without paying the stratospheric prices that a flawless specimen would command this is your VERY BEST CHANCE to do so!
