BEHOLD! Here we have the very FIRST CGC Graded example of this original Grateful Dead Poster to appear at public auction! Stanley Mouse and the late great Alton Kelley borrowed from pop culture once again -- enlisting Pooh and Piglet to advertise this free afternoon show at Mt Tamalpais Outdoor theater in 1966.
This is the second state version (Still Original Pre-Concert First Printing) of this poster that replaces Joan Baez and Mimi Farina with Bola Sete. The concert was a benefit for the congressional campaign of antiwar candidate Phil Drath. Later that evening the Dead also performed at the Fillmore (BG-30). In September 2013 another example of this poster NOT certified by CGC described as very good condition reached $1 625.00 in another public auction.
