This classic Rick Griffin Avalon poster was the artist’s first contribution to the Family Dog series. This popular poster borrows from Michelangelo’s “The creation of Adam”. Griffin went on to create some of the most memorable posters of his time.
In April a CGC 9.6 graded example realized a high water mark of $570 in our auction. This 9.4 original printing piece here is virtually identical in museum quality with no visible flaws of any kind.
