The Grateful Dead at The Bank! San Francisco’s house band traveled to Torrance California in the late autumn of 1968. This scarce poster showcases images of the Dead - including Pigpen! - and warns attendees to come clean as to avoid apparent hassles from local police. This plea suggests that the venue was in trouble from the ”illegal behavior” of their clientele. The poster advertises what is believed to be the last show at this relatively obscure venue previously known as The Blue Law.

Material from The Bank in Torrance is highly sought after by collectors. Original Pre-Concert First Printing posters like this are why so many NEW collectors are now rushing into the hobby. Amazing image. Legendary band. Historic venue. TOP Museum Quality Condition. Third Party Certification and Authentication.

This example is one of only a handful of CGC graded specimens of this poster issue we've ever auctioned! We previously auctioned another 9.8 graded example for $1506 about three years ago but the market is much hotter now as the appreciation for 9.8 material is off the charts!
