PAE is pleased to present the very FIRST example of this poster to EVER appear in our auction! This Electric Flag Original Poster was produced to advertise a 1989 Electric Flag member reunion of sorts featuring Nick Gravenites Merl Saunders Harvey Brooks and many more! Many of you already know about the late great Merl Saunders & his special relationship with Jerry Garcia. He was a perfect choice for keyboard duties in this Electric Flag celebration.
In the early days decades prior the Electric Flag showcased Mike Bloomfield one of the most talented guitar players who ever lived. Bloomfield was a force to be reckoned with. From the Butterfield Blues Band to the short lived Electric Flag to the hours of recording with Bob Dylan to the incredible instrumental prowess he exhibited jamming with Al Kooper - Bloomfield achieved legendary musical status at a very young age.
