Country Joe McDonald was an ubiquitous Bay Area songwriter in the 1960’s. He played frequently in Berkeley and this performance was at UC Berkeley’s Pauley Ballroom. Joy of Cooking Eric Andersen and Silver Phoxx were in support.
We have been talking to a lot of collectors recently that are snapping up posters like this - as they are seen as incredibly cheap bargains. You get a well-known San Francisco band from the early 1970’s for a fraction of what you pay for the same type of poster from the Fillmore West. How many can there be in decent shape?
