Here we have an original cardboard concert poster produced for The Who - with THE CLASH opening the show! - appearing at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in October 1982. This was part of what was advertised to be The Who's final "Farewell" tour at the end of 1982 although they would eventually reunite twice a few years later and then tour again in 1989.
The Clash had finished a run of shows over the summer supporting their record "Combat Rock" and opened for The Who at concerts on the first leg of this US tour in October including a show at New York's Shea Stadium. This 100% Original poster from the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum was produced by Colby Printing Co before the concert.
The historic Colby Poster Printing Company produced promotional material between 1948 and 2012 and they became legendary for their signature fluorescent inks and bold all-caps typography although none of the original staff had any formal design training. They were members of the letterpress union the screen printers union and the typesetters union.

Four sets of staple holes with significant pulls at the bottom three sets of staple holes with pulls at the top hard horizontal crease through "WHO" and hard diagonal crease running from the "T" in "The Clash" to the "M" in "coliseum" surface paper loss at the top left scattered creases throughout.
