The late great Alton Kelley designed this original poster for The Dinosaurs and their appearances on March 24 1983 at the Golden Bear in Huntington Beach and March 25 1983 at the Country Club in Reseda CA. This is the #6 issue in part of a numbered series of nine posters produced in 1982 and 1983 plus at least five other posters not numbered.
The Dinosaurs formed in 1982 and were a Bay Area Supergroup to emerge from the psychedelic music era of San Francisco. The core group consisted of Peter Albin of Big Brother and the Holding Company John Cipollina of Quicksilver Messenger Service Spencer Dryden of Jefferson Airplane Robert Hunter of the Grateful Dead Barry Melton of Country Joe and The Fish and Country Joe himself. There are SIX Authentic Signatures on this front of this poster PLUS one PERSONALIZED on the back to Kelley's wife. Wow!
