Another first timer in our auction! This original handbill was produced for Blue Oyster Cult & Rush at the Hirsch Memorial Coliseum in Shreveport LA on July 8th 1976. Mott and Starz were in support.
The icing on the cake of this handbill is the somewhat early appearance of RUSH! They were touring to support their soon to be blockbuster cult album 2112 which was only their 4th record release!
The legendary prog-metal power trio featuring the late great NEIL PEART were still opening for bands at this time. The drum & lyric master-jedi's first concert with Geddy and Alex was on August 14th 1974 in Pittsburgh just 2 years before this Shreveport concert! After 1976 Rush would headline practically every show they played throughout the rest of their career due to their sheer and utter awesomeness!
