The Plasmatics were a punk rock/metal band formed in New York City by Rod Swenson and Wendy O. Williams in late 1977. They were known for over-the-top stage performances which included sledge-hammering television sets and blowing up automobiles on stage. They broke up in 1988 and lead singer/songwriter Wendy O. Williams committed suicide in 1998. This original pre-concert first printing cardboard poster is from a run of shows in Pasadena in 1982. Cardboard posters are super popular and remain one of the most highly sought after type of concert memorabilia ever known.
