Here we have a very RARE original Allman Brothers Poster we are offering for the FIRST TIME in our auction! Behold - This is a piece with major eye appeal and striking artwork design. The poster was produced to advertise the band's appearance at the Manley Field House on the campus of Syracuse University in New York on April 7th 1972. The Allman Brothers Band were touring continuously in spring of 1972 following the release of their third album "Eat A Peach".
This concert at the Manley Field House featured the late great Dr John & Wet Willie in support and took place just months after the tragic death of Duane Allman. "We'd been through hell but somehow we were rolling bigger than ever " stated Gregg Allman when asked in past interviews about the spring of 1972. Very little material from the early years of the Allman brothers still exists today in ANY condition! The likelihood of another example of this Syracuse University issue surfacing again anytime soon - if ever - is extremely slim.
It's no secret that Allman Brothers concert posters are one of the hottest if not THE HOTTEST segment of the markeplace right now. Given the rarity art and desirabilty we expect fireworks to ensue once bidding begins!
