This LARGE original first printing poster was produced to advertise an all-day event with multiple all-star bands at Knebworth Park on July 5th 1975. The featured act was Pink Floyd who had just finished their North American “Wish You Were Here Tour” a week prior. Their set included material from that album as well as Dark Side of the Moon and two unreleased new songs: “Raving and Drooling” and “You Gotta Be Crazy” - which later turned into “Sheep” and “Dogs ” and appeared on the Animals album 2 years later.
Additional performers included The Steve Miller Band Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band the great Roy Harper (who also sang “Have a Cigar” with the Floyd during their set) Graham Chapman and friends from Monty Python and Linda Lewis. This oversized pre-concert first printing poster is extremely difficult to find and this example is the FIRST we’ve ever auctioned! 100% Original with no restoration!
Please note: An authorized reprint of the Knebworth Festival poster was later done by the promoter of the festival Freddie Bannister in 1999. The reprint does NOT exhibit the "Blue Egg Printing & Design Ltd. Tel 01 794 8383" credit in the bottom left of the poster like THIS ONE - the Original First Printing - does. This lot here is the pre-concert first LARGE sized original printing. Extremely rare!

Condition Details - 100% Original with no restoration. Heavily creased on the top and bottom edge with several small tears toning along the bottom edge scuffs on the surface that don't break the ink.
